It’s that time again… Christmas is almost here.. (did I just say that)
The Somerset county- North Plainfield branch pantry that serves NP, GB, Warren and Watchung  will be doing adopt-a-family again this year.
If you are interested in adopting a family or a single person please let me know.

Welcome to the Somerset County- North Plainfield Branch Food Bank. This food bank covers North Plainfield. Greenbrook, Warren and Watchung. Anyone can join.  We will never post pictures of our families that we help. Only pictures of organizations that volunteer and donate their time. We are here to help our local community!

What we need: canned food, (veggies, potatoes, fruit), spam, vienna sausages, rice, creel, PB&J, mac & cheese, pasta, tuna, beans, soup, jello
toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and deodorant

Children’s Backpack Program needs Beef stew (Microwave small cans), Vienna sausages (small cans), Chef Boyardee Microwave canned pastas (7 oz.), Tuna (Ready to eat packets), Milk (8 oz. boxes), Juice boxes (8 z. boxes), Kraft Easy Mac & Cheese (Microwave packets – No cups), Cold Cereal (small boxes 1.2 oz), Pudding Cups, Fruit Cups

You can also donate to the county food bank at 9E Easy Street in Bridgewater, very close to the Chimney Rock Road UPS location. It is open from 9-3 on weekdays.

Food Donations for Families with Special Needs
The Mini Socialites Foundation is accepting food donations for families who have children w special needs & their families that have fallen on hard times during the pandemic: Ways to participate:
1. Donate food from your pantry or pick up a few extra items when you grocery shop next.
2. Volunteer your home to be a non-contact designated drop off location.
3. Volunteer to drive & make a non contactless food drop to the families located in Somerset Morris & Union county. You can pick which location would work best for you.
4. You can also donate grocery store gift cards such as: shop rite, Walmart, Etc…
5. Spread the word to friends and family who would like to participate.
